Accommodations/Equipment 1 CONSTRUCTION Hull, deck and all structural bulkheads in epoxy-carbon and epoxy-glass prepreg with foam cores cured at 85 degrees C. Internal structure and gussets in solid epoxy-carbon and epoxy-glass prepreg cured at 85 degrees C and bonded to both hull and deck with special high-performance epoxy glues. 2 forepeak bulkheads and the aft bulkhead are watertight. The space in front of the forward bulkhead below the anchor well is filled with closed-cell PU foam. Mast support in solid epoxy-carbon prepreg laminate bonded and attached to the main bulkhead, hull and deck A hydrodynamically optimised low drag high lift lead bulb and cast iron keel fin is provided. A high-surface upper flange allows distribution of grounding forces to the structure of the boat. 2 Spade rudders are a high ratio airfoil section in carbon / epoxy laminate over massive carbon stock., built in high-pressure, high temperature autoclave 2 hull portlights, fixed, in front cabin area, glued and mechanically bonded, in polycarbonate. Hull and deck are sanded, primed with epoxy primer and sprayed with PU paint for best UV protection and gloss retention. Standard colour is white. Cove stripe and boot stripe are in opposite colour then the hull; standard is flag blue colour Hull cove and decorative stripes are painted with PU paint. 2 DECK FITTINGS Carbon retractable bowsprit with a Spectra bobstay operated from the front deck A 1500 W electric anchor windlass recessed in anchor well, vertical chain drum. Structural main bulkheads are built in epoxy laminate sandwich and finished in light-cream coloured PU paint to match the Teak joinery and to lighten the interior of the boat. COMPANIONWAY Staircase in Teak wood features elevated sides to provide better foot grip during sailing. 2 vertical grabrails on each side (teak) Lower 3 steps are attached to the engine room cover, when lifted (gas struts) it allows full access to the engine compartment. Table can be locked in lifted position. Chart reading light is recessed in the bottom of the navigation panel. A 220 V pickup is built in the separation bulkhead between the navigation and pantry. In front of the table there is an integrated instrument console. The space under the navigation area forms a large technical zone for AC and DC distribution panels. It is easily accessible and lies high and dry above bilges. Even at high degree of heel the bilge water has no access to this space or to wiring and navigation panel. A stowage space for books etc. is provided to the side of the navigators seat. In the front upper part of the chart table there is a large instrumentation panel with electrical control panel.
